London Top Sights
Find Your Personal London Top Sights
Forget about hitting all the London top sights and delve deeper into your psyche to find out first what makes you happy and then find places and events that will give you that special London endorphin rush.
Do you like pomp and circumstance, doric columns, gilded artefacts, fine wood carvings, sumptuous embroidered and embellished outfits? Then plan your days around the palaces and museums (Kensington Palace, the V&A, the Tate Britain and Westminster Abbey).
Maybe Urban Hip is more your scene? Then, skip the lines at Buckingham Palace and consider visiting Brick Lane and Shoreditch with its cafes, curry houses, food markets, beigel shops – all part of the newly revitalised East End of London or watch graffiti artists in the Leake Street Tunnel.
And of course if you aren’t sure, then I suggest that you try a lot of different and disparate things to see what gives you that special London buzz.
Tired of London, Tired of Life
There’s the oft repeated adage that when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.
London is home to 9m inhabitants and has 30m visitors per annum with new restaurants, bars, exhibitions and shows appearing on a daily basis. My friends keep saying to me that I must have now seen it all but I reply that this is simply impossible as the more you see, the more you find.
